Uncle Ole traditionally accepted the honour of Ezie Eziukwu on 10 June 2025. On 31 August, the Nde Ochea Ole Family Union Worldwide gathered at Onu Ogo Eziukwu in Akanu Ohafia for a public coronation: a remarkable day for his family and community.
In the programme he wrote for the occasion, Uncle Ole explained that the title is held for life, is not hereditary, and is based on age and good social and moral standing. He described the celebration as an acknowledgment of the honour given to him by Nde Ichin Eziukwu.
